Weighted Gusseted Standup Finishing Class - Sunday, September 20th

Join us for a Weighted Gusseted Standup Finishing Class with LeighAnne of LeighAnne Stitches!

Sunday, September 20th | 12:00 - 4:00 pm | $215 per person

Please note students must have prior finishing experience.

Students need to provide:

• Stitched and blocked canvas (canvas should be between 4"-8" large)
• Photocopy of the stitched canvas
• Backing fabric (half a yard, depending on the size of your canvas)
• Skeins of DMC floss or perle cotton (2 skeins of the same color if you're making a solid color cording, or 1 skein of each color for multicolor cording. We can make cording with up to 4 colors.) We carry the Perle cotton in store, so this can be purchased on site. 

All other materials will be provided.

If your canvas has detail that goes to the edges of the stitched area, you will want to stitch two rows of continental around the border, as you will lose two rows of stitching in the finishing process. If your canvas has lots of sharp angles, you will want to add shadow stitching around to smooth those edges out to make the finishing process more enjoyable. When I do this, I start stitching three rows out from my furthest edge and continue following the shape from there.
